Back 2 School 2011

School starts tomorrow. We had a wonderful time this summer. We did San Diego with the Girl Scout troop, family time in Vegas, camping in Morro Bay, the beach, bike rides, swimmimg, roller skating, sleep overs, water slides, miniature golfing, Disneyland, jammie days, Concert In The Park and so much more.


I think many parents are so excited to send the kiddos back to school. Not me, not in the slightest. I love my time with the girls.
I am not a huge fan of being school time mommy either. I have to push schedules, force wake up, hustle everyone along...and there is some yelling that happens in the process. I am sole schedule keeper which means I am mean mommy most of the time. These are just a few reasons I don't like school time.


I know there are other options. I really don't see myself home schooling. That's a hot topic and one for another time.
We found out which classrooms and teachers they will have for the upcoming year. Jessa is over the moon happy with her teacher, classroom, and her classmates. Lauren is very excited that she got one of the teachers Jessa had last year and her very best friend is in her class. Life is good.
September and it's still warm here in So Cal. I like it. I usually make it until mid October before I am ready for "fall".  So what does a mom that has sent her kiddos back to school do?

She goes to the BEACH on her own! :)
