After what must have been a year or more of talking about a trip, we finally packed our bags!
Although, it was a long car ride, it was fun. Cambria seemed a million miles away. I guess I took the scenic route, ha ha!

Here we are (finally) in our hotel room. Not looking like the pictures on line AT ALL! Oh well we weren't here for the luxurious accommodations. We were here to catch up with each other and to take
a break from our busy schedules.

After breakfast on the first morning, we took a walk along the coast. I quickly realized that it was mostly couples here, not exactly your typical 'girls fun weekend away' locale. I didn't care. I was relaxing after a very tough few months of closing my business. This was the perfect place to get some peace.

Us three after a few glasses of wine and dinner and a few glasses of wine and did I mention we enjoyed some drinks! Karen is a really cool person. She has such fun stories to share and when she talks about her daughter she absolutely lights up!
Raquel really still to this day (even though we were apart for a good 8 years maybe??) knows me better than just about anyone. She reads me like an open book. I love her for that! Soetimes I think she knows what I am going to say before I say it. I am sure she just has the knack for reading people, not only me.
