Front Planter-May 2010

We have this planter in the 'front' of our house that we have never really done much with over the years. I planted some iris' years ago that surprise me every year when they pop up but that's about all we have done.

I am trying to focus on some around-the-house tasks now with my free time and so we are tackling this fun project. Jessa, Lauren and I all headed outside with our gardening tools to start cleaning out the planter.

I didn't get a real before picture--it was way more overgrown than this but I forgot to get a pic!

After the dig out--

A few days later we hit the nursery and picked out some hydrangeas, gerber daisies, and some other pretty purple flowers that at this moment I can't remember their name.

It was such a fun project with the girls! I will take some more pics as the flower fill in and bloom!
